The Life of a Princess in the South

A Fly’s Prayer by Jayquin G. Rodriguez

January 21, 2009 · Leave a Comment

O my god I believe
you are present in my
life.

I know that you
made me but can you
give me a long
life?

Make me big.
Give me good food
because I always eat
rotten food.

I wish they will
give me freedom.
And Lord I wish
they will appreciate
me even if I’m
Just a fly.

Amen.

This poem is unedited as posted in facebook account of my Tatay Joel, Jayquin’s father. Jayquin is only 12 years old and very talented. So I am not surprise at all if he actually made a poem so nice, striking, and meaningful. Keep up the good work Jayquin! He is with his parents, brother Waki, and sister Crisel at Phnom Penh, Cambodia for almost a year now.
